Description

This is a rare and important Swedish Gustavian style painted secretary buffet with original brass hardware and locks, circa 1850. The upper china cabinet section has three shelves, the top shaped and slotted for spoons, behind door fronts carved with reeded panels and original planed glass. The lower section has a reeded slant front with three large graduated two handled drawers. The secretary has fourteen smaller center drawers and a center door all behind the writing surface. Cabinet and case piece.
