Description
Large Charles Paillet French (1871-1937) bronze of two playful goats “Medaille D’or”
Here we have a fun and whimsical statue sculpture of two young goats playing in the grass. One is ramming his head while the other stands on his hind legs to get on top of the action. Paillet was the winner of countless gold medals as an animalier during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. The market does not see many if any of these goat models making them rare. This sculpture won the “Medaille D’or” in the Paris Salon… Gold Medal!
This is a very large model standing at 20 inches tall and 21.5 inches wide.
