Beautiful Art Nouveau – Art Deco Hawaiian decor with vibrant colors.

Measures: Print 15 x 11 Inches

Framed 21.75 x 17.75 Inches

Signed red graphite lower left illegigible: Charles W. Bartlett.

Signed with monogram lorer right.

Provenance: From the estate of Henry S Miller (Dallas, TX)

Condition: Very Good with some light foxing center sky and left top. Mounted on board. Framed in museum glass.

Charles William Bartlett (1860–1940) was an English painter and printmaker who settled in Hawaii. Anna Rice Cooke, who founded the Honolulu Museum of Art, became Bartlett’s advocate and patron. In 1928, Bartlett helped to found the Honolulu Printmakers along with local artists Alexander Samuel MacLeod, John Melville Kelly, and Huc-Mazelet Luquiens. Charles Bartlett died in Hawaii at the age of 79 on April 16, 1940.
