This art nouveau Paul Nicolas D’Argental vase is rare in that it is double decorated with Leaves and a butterfly under the overlay of beautifully carved flower seed pods and foliage. Orange, yellow browns and pink make up this delightful collectors piece. Remember Paul Nicolas was Emile Galle’s principal designer and worked at St Louis in Nance France before starting D’Argental which used finer leaded glass than Galle.
