Attributed to Johannes Rosierse (Dordrecht, 1818 – 1901) who was a painter from the Netherlands, who mostly painted portraits and candlelight pieces.
A vegetable stand at a night market. This large painting is very old and has been relined over 100 yrs ago quite possibly making it late 18th century. With natural light; this master painting comes alive showing a larger selection of vegetable offerings, people in the background as well as buildings. No signature detected.
Condition: Beautifully restored and extremely clean and tight in contemporary frame (scratches and nicks to frame. Oil on canvas on 19th century glue reline. Presents in perfect condition.
