Description
Large 19th century Tibetan Thangka of white tara seated in mudras surrounded by Bodhisattvas and Buddhas. This painting has very vibrant colors with great detail. This spiritual and decorative Asian painting will be the focal point in any room. Colors include red, yellow, orange and Lapis Lazuli blue. The verso; which is under frame, is scribed in Tibetan Sanskrit with a prayer and hand print signature. This thangka hung in a Tibetan Monastery and was revered by monks for over a century. 19th century; possibly older. Paint on very fine cloth (Cotton or silk?).
Framed in contemporary solid wood and plexiglass and ready to hang.

Condition: Excellent with dirt accretions, creases and small tears commensurate of age and use.
