Description
Elegant French cabinet signed by renowned Art Nouveau designer Louis Majorelle. The cabinet is composed of mahogany, walnut and multiple exotic woods and is decorated with floral inlay and various naturalistic botanic carvings characteristic of the era. The top portion features a glass shelved vitrine with the original glass panes. The center sideboard table is expansive with a beautifully inlaid marquetry backsplash. There are two drawers finished with bronze vine handles over a large two-door cabinet below with more inlay. Comes with original key that locks vitrine and cabinet.
Signed: L. Majorelle Nancy inscribed on lower right panel. Guaranteed authentic from Louis Majorelles atelier in nancy France, circa 1900.
