Description
A Chinese Ming dynasty two-piece bronze incense censer or cache in the Form of Guandi or Guan Yu holding a sword in his right hand sitting on a natural boulder. The sculpture or figure with a hat, long beard is elegantly robed with a lion or tiger sache belt. Detailed chasing and cast worthy of the most scrutinizing collector. A very commanding piece that would adorn any Siddhartha Gautama, Shakyamuni Buddha sacred space.
Measures: Height 6.2 x 5.7 x 4 inches (15.5 x 14.5 x 10.2 cm). Condition:
Excellent with one firing crack in back of robe fold. Bend to sword.
