This vase was undoubtedly designed and executed by Paul Nicolas wi was Emile Galle’s chief designer and manager of his Nancy atelier. Paul Nicolas went to work for St Louis Chrystal before starting D’Argental and brought better quality standards and better glass which produced more detailed work, circa 1920, this stunning, large and heavy acid etched red floral vase was made during the Art Nouveau – Art Deco transition period making it extremely decorative in both settings. Just look at the detail of the red to orange flowers on the yellow background; absolutely stunning!
