Possibly Khmir period but probably just after. Bronze buddha seated in bhumisparsha mudra on stepped base, remnants of earlier gilding throughout, I have been dealing in ancient bronze Buddhas for over 20 years now and these Thai – Southeast asian bronzes are special as they were more diverse and unique than the Chinese and Tibetan more uniform bronzes. The face of this particular Buddha is fresh, young and serene.
Circa 16th-17th century.
