Offered is a monumentally large and important Tiffany Studios “Favrile Fabrique” Linenfold lamp for serious collectors. The magnificent cast bronze shade is almost 20 Inches diameter and may have taken longer to fabricate then most cars today. Circa 1915.
This Tiffany Studios table lamp has a linen-fold shade with twelve panels of amber linen-fold glass. Each large panel is bordered on top and bottom with heavy linen-fold rectangular panels, all in a cast bronze frame.
Shade is signed on the rim “Tiffany Studios NEW YORK 1927 PAT. APPL’D FOR.”
The shade rests on a Tiffany Studios bronze base with urn-shape body and textured surface similar to the linen-fold glass. Base has a three-socket cluster, shade ring and and a matching linen-fold 7 inch diameter cap. The base is finished in a dark gold doré acid etched patina design.
Base is signed on the underside “Tiffany Studios NEW YORK 675”.
Base and shade are in very good to excellent condition. 7.25 Inch diameter CAP has four glass panels with tiny fleabites and flakes to inside corners not visible outside, otherwise very good.
