Description
A rare and wonderful bronze Buddha with a wonderful representation of floating on a lotus flower. His head lifted with a lotus leaf with hands in the healing mudra holding a bowl in his left hand and a ball in his right and floating on a leaf pedestal surrounded by lotuses and aquatic animals including a turtle, a crab, fish and a snail. The underside truly looks to be 17th or even 16th century but to be safe, I am attributing it to 18th century. I haven’t been able to find a comparison and my gut tells me this is an important bronze with copper alloy figure.
